Race Day

How does the triathlon relay work?

Each relay team of 2-3 will get ONE timing chip. The timing chip will be worn around your ankle and passed to each relay member. For example, the swimmer will finish the swim leg and pass the chip to the cyclist in the transition area. The runner will finish the race by crossing the finish line and will drop the timing chip off with a volunteer at the finish. The cyclist and the runner will be given bib numbers to wear during the race.

All team members of the relay will receive a medal. Awards for the relay will be given only to the Top 3 Overall teams.
