What is the Columbia Triathlon aquabike?
Aquabike is a .93mi swim and 25mi bike combination for athletes who wish to not participate in the run portion.
What is the Columbia Triathlon duathlon?
Duathlon is a 2.2mi run, 25mi bike, 6.2mi run combination for athletes who wish to not participate in the swim portion
What is the Athena classification for a triathlon?
Athena is a race classification for females with a bodyweight of 165 pounds or more. Women who participate as Athena will have their own start wave and award category.
What is the Clydesdale classification for a triathlon?
Clydesdale is a race classification for males with a bodyweight of 220 pounds or more. Men who participate as Clydesdale will have their own start wave and award category.

When does registration close?
Online registration will close on 6/17/18 at 11:59pm ET
What is an open wave?
An open wave is for athletes with a qualifying time of at least 2 hours and 15 minutes for males and 2 hours and 30 minutes for females. These athletes will begin in the first swim wave and will NOT be able eligible for age group awards.
What is the qualifying time for the open wave?
Athletes participating in the open wave must have a qualifying time of 2 hours and 15 minutes for males and 2 hours and 30 minutes for females.
How do I submit my qualifying time for the open wave?
Qualifying times for the open wave must be submitted before April 1, 2017. Athletes can submit times by emailing [email protected], including ‘CT2017 QUALIFYING TIME’ in the subject line.
Can I edit my registration information before race day?
Athletes can edit their registration information anytime before June 17, 2018.
Can I transfer to a different race category?
Athletes can transfer to a different race category until June 17, 2018 for a $10 transfer fee.
If an athlete is transferring from a lower priced category to a higher priced category, the athlete will be required to pay the difference in cost in addition to the transfer fee. Transfer from a higher priced category to a lower priced category, will NOT result in a refund to the participant.
Can I defer my Columbia Triathlon registration to 2018?
Yes, there is a $50.00 deferment fee to do so. Deferments must be received 2 weeks prior to race day and include your name and Event on your check.

Can I transfer my bib number to another non registered athlete?
No, there are no transfers allowed. You may choose to defer to the next year if you cannot participate.
Do you have a refund policy?
Refunds are not accepted at any time for any reason. You may defer your registration to the next year for a fee of $50.00.
Can I receive a refund if I am injured or cannot attend race day?
No. Refunds are not accepted. You may defer your registration to the next year for a fee of $50.00.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me during packet pickup?
Only the registered athlete is able to pick up their packet for race day. Please locate the 2017 Athlete’s Guide (When available) for location and times to plan accordingly.
Can I pick up my packet the morning of the race?
No, you must pick up your packet during packet pickup. Please locate the 2017 Athlete’s Guide (When available) for location and times to plan accordingly.
What do I need to pick up my packet?
Each athlete will need a valid form of identification and proof of USAT annual coverage, if applicable.
Can someone else rack my bike for me prior to race day?
No, you must rack your own bike for liability reasons. Please locate the 2017 Athlete’s Guide for location and times to plan accordingly.
Can I rack my bike race morning?
No, bikes must be racked during bike racking hours. Please locate the 2017 Athlete’s Guide for location and times to plan accordingly.
Can I exchange my shirt size at packet pickup if mine does not fit?
Shirts are ordered based off sizes provided during registration. Athletes may visit the info tent located at the swim start after completing the race to exchange with any remaining shirts.
Do I need to have a USAT Membership to participate?
YES! This is a USAT sanctioned event and all athletes are required to have a valid USAT membership. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL. It is mandatory to participate in this race. Athletes may purchase an annual membership or a 1-day USAT membership to participate. This service will be included within the registration form.
What is the swim course cut off time?
The swim course will close 55 minutes after the last swimmer enters the water.
What is the bike course cut off time?
The bike course will close at 11:00am.
What is the run course cut off time?
The run course will close at 1:00pm.
Where can my family and friends park on race day?
There will be parking available for athletes, friends and family in Centennial Park on race day. The park entrance closes at 6:30am for the safety of the athletes, and will not reopen for traffic until 11:30am.
Where can my family and friends cheer for me on race day?
Friends and family are encouraged to join the fun in the celebration village, located near the boat ramp within Centennial Park. Spectators can see the start and finish of the race from the celebration village.
What kind of food and drink will be available?
Athletes will be provided with post race food after crossing the finish line. There will also be food truck vendors in the celebration village for public purchase.
