2018 Columbia Triathlon Date Set

BALTIMORE – October 4, 2017 – The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced next year’s Columbia Triathlon & Duathlon will take place on June 24 at Centennial Park in Ellicott City, Maryland. The Ulman Cancer Fund will continue to benefit from funds raised by the event to impact the lives of young adults and their loved ones impacted by cancer.

Brian Satola, Chief Operating Officer of The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, said, “We continue to be committed to the legacy of the Columbia Triathlon.  This is not just a triathlon to the tens of thousands of athletes that have completed this nationally recognized event. It means so much to many in our community and beyond.”

Satola also addressed the reason for the event’s new date. “The date change was dictated out of the necessity to support all of the county government entities that have been stretched to their limits with Wine in the Woods and The Columbia Triathlon previously being held on the same weekend,” he said.

For more than 35 years, the Columbia Triathlon has attracted athletes from across the United States and around the world to Howard County to compete in the acclaimed Olympic distance race.
